Six projects are part of MGI, each built on the GRanDMA genealogical database of Mennonites and Hutterites from Prussia and Russia and their descendants.

GRanDMA is the genealogical database of Mennonites and Hutterites originating in Prussia and Russia.
This project, begun with vast Alan Peters collection, continues the task of expansion, management, and distribution. There are about 1.6 million individuals documented in GRanDMA.

Jay Hubert, Port Townsend, WA and a host of volunteers.

The GMOL web app brings easy access to the GRanDMA database through dozens of powerful search methods, reports, and maps. Many reports connect to images of original documents from around the world.
Currently, over 96% of users searching GRanDMA use GMOL. These subscribers number over 4500.

    Ken Ratzlaff, Lawrence, KS.

The Board of Directors of MGI will be awarding grants for the development of genealogical information pertinent to GRanDMA.
These grants will be funded primarily by the subscription fees for GMOL.

The GRanDMA Database Manager (GDM):

The GRanDMA database and its management have outgrown the capabilities of existing software options. Specialized software is needed.
The GDM project is well underway to bring important new capabilities and effiencies to those who manage the GRanDMA database.
